Discovery quest not completing

Hello. I just finished most of the balcony discovery quest. The last challenge is to remove all sims from the DIY house. It has been about a week and it still says it is not completed even though all of my sims are accounted for and the DIY house is removed from my game. How do I finish the last challenge so I can complete the discovery quest?
