Enhanced Lighting no longer available after June 2026 update (iPad 8th Gen)
Hello The Sims FreePlay Support Team,
I am reporting an issue regarding the Enhanced Lighting feature after the June 2026 update.
Device information:
- Device: iPad 8th Generation (Wi-Fi)
- Processor: A12 Bionic
- iPadOS version: 26.5 (latest)
- Storage: 128 GB (approx. 98 GB used)
- Game version: Latest update (June 2026 patch)
Issue:
Before the June 2026 update, the Enhanced Lighting feature was available and working normally on my device. However, after updating the game, the feature is no longer accessible.
Currently, I experience the following:
- The Enhanced Lighting option is missing / unavailable in settings
- In some cases, the game indicates that visuals are not supported on this Apple device
- This change happened immediately after the June 2026 update, without any change to my device or system
Expected behavior:
Based on previous performance, my device (A12 Bionic) should still support Enhanced Lighting, as it was working before the update.
Additional notes:
- No hardware or iOS changes were made prior to this issue
- The issue started only after installing the latest update
Could you please confirm whether this is a known issue, a compatibility change, or a bug introduced in the latest update?
