Re: Can't do harvest events

Hello @amyjean_07,

We’re very sorry that you’re unable to start some of the Harvestfest events. We are looking into it.

These steps may help:

  1. If any Sims have completed events that are ready to be collected, collect those.
  2. Close your game completely, also in the background. To do this on iOS, press the home button twice and swipe up on the game.
  3. Reload The Sims Mobile.
  4. One of your Sims may have completed the blocked event or be in the event.

If they’re active in an event, let the event complete and you should be able to progress in your quest then. It may be the case that you don’t see any stars in the event to speed up the progress, that is also an issue we’re aware of. Sadly, our testing has shown that this workaround does not work every time, but we wanted to share it in case it does help in your game.

  • I am having the same issues and no work around helps. I've spent real money for this event, so it stinks I'll be unable to finish it. Since there is no way to add more time to the event, I say just unlock the story and all of the items, and give everyone sim cash or gems. Maybe the next quest should have more days to allow completion.

    I even contacted EA about. They basically said they know it's a bug, sorry not sorry, here's some pie slices. As if that made up for it 😒 done spending money on this game. 

  • I'm not even going to bother contacting EA as I've seen doing so doesn't help. It's awful there are so many bugs. BUT, maybe since it affects a lot of people, they will do something about it.

    Having the same problems. Can EA just unlock the relationship story for everyone since there were so many problems? 😣

    Nothing fixes this issue.  Now I’ve wasted money on an event that will end today.  I want a full refund.

    I agree wholeheartedly!!!! So frustrated with the massive glitches in this quest and I worked so freaking hard to complete it too!!! Tech support assured me that they were working on the issue and it shouldn't happen again but that doesnt change that it was impossible to finish the quest line due to game glitches!!! They need to open up the new story and give cash or gems or extend the quest longer!!!

    Same. I called and told them I’ve been stuck in the game for 4 days and spent all my sims cash and cupcakes. I was given a sorry here’s some pie slices too. Such rubbish. I want to finish the quest and I want my money and cupcakes back. I don’t need more pie slices

    I had a similar experience. Tech support/customer service absolutely sucks. I didnt even get pie slices. They need to open up the relationship story for everyone and give cupcakes and cash since weve had such horrible issues with glitches. I left a 1 star review on Google Play because it was such a rotten experience.

    I have reported this twice. Now the harvest fest is over & got nothing from it because it wouldnt work. I reported so many issues & have gotten nowhere. Im pissed off with thus game now. Nothing is working. I put a sim in a career task, come back & my sim is in a relationship task. Careers, hobbies, relationships not working properly

    I've been having this problem for a few days, which makes me wonder if it's even related to the event. I put my sims on long events overnight (harvestfest or regular events), and when I go back in the morning the event says something different. I end the events, force stop the game and go back. Then there's another pink checkmark telling me an event is completed. I get credit for each event (on Llama truck). Eventually, after repeating this multiple times, my harvestfest events would come up and I could end them. Also, the goodies bags were doing strange things. Sometimes I'd open one and not get the item stated (I opened one that awarded me 25 sim cash, I watched the cash roll up, and when I left the harvestfest window it wasn't' there anymore). Sometimes I would get 2 bags instead of 1. Not sure what's going on, but I hope they fix it soon.

    Edit: The event ended hours ago, but the glitch is still happening. I force stopped the game 3 separate times, each time one of my sims had a finished event. I received credit for the event each time that was not taken away. Also, I have had the "new day" login reward screen pop up a total of 3 times today.It also ended my sticker contest for the day and gave me a whole new set of stickers to give out as if it were a new day. Kind of afraid to clear the game or turn off my tablet at this point...

  • For all the bugs related to the Harvestfest event the best thing is to contact an EA game advisor.

    You can do so through The Sims Mobile app. Open the side menu, choose the gear icon, then the button with 'Help'.
    This will open your browser, scroll down until you see 'Contact Us' and choose 'Technical Support'.

    Is there a way to review the popup message from ea saying that they were having server issues and some players would receive the special heirloom? I had trouble with the event and gave up.

    There is no point in doing this. I have contacted them 3 times. They have done nothing. The event ended and my game is still screwed up. I still don’t have quick events. My sims still end up in places I didn’t put them. And I’ve lost money. They don’t seem to care

    @Phantomlover1717 I have done all the things. Including deleting and re downloading load the app. Nothing works. I was unable to finish the quest. I spent my own money all my sims cash and cupcakes are gone and my game still doesn’t work. I was offered only pie slices and nobody has fixed my game. 

    The customer service is poor. I will no longer spend any money on this gam.
