- Maybe they will give us those super bonus donuts people keep talking about here. That's the most people should probably expect from EA.

This is the biggest group of negative Nellies, You are all ticked of when things are not extended, and when they finally do, you are still ticked off.
Seriously it is only a game.
It's not that it's been extended or not...it's the sneaky and underhanded way EA went about it. Everyone knew WD was ending yesterday, sometime. This is the first update that allowed you to buy the prizes with (an obscene amount of) donuts, and anyone who really wanted something paid for it at the last moment, with real money.
Then to announce a week extension, a full day after it was supposed to end? That's just disgusting on their part, and feels extremely deliberate. This entire event has felt like "ways EA can get you to buy/spend donuts", and this last act has topped them all.- Me! Me! Me! I want! I want!
Seriously guys stop the whining! You aren't getting your donuts back. People complain when they don't extend it and complain when they do extend it? I don't get it. Nobody's ever happy!
You could tell them your kid wasted the donuts? Because that's the only way you may get any back. sneedle330 wrote:
Shouldn't those who use their donuts last night to finish Whacking Day be reimbursed? I received no notice about the date being extended and was close enough to finishing up.
I feel cheated right now, EA.

Did u get receive an offical update on when it ended? I thought ppl just assumed that's when it was going to end- Kind of a slime ball move by EA, but no one forced you to use those donuts. They don't really have to reimburse anyone.

Clearly you aren't reading what we are writing. It isn't about the extension. It's about the sneaky way they announced it -- after people spent real money.
If you don't want to hear it, go somewhere else, moron.
Wow. Best comeback ever. Go home everyone, this guy officially wins the Internet!bethdye wrote:
You're right. It is only a game. The problem is we are talking about real money here.
When you buy something at a store and the next day your friend goes there and gets it for free, you would be pissed, too. But then you would be able to return the item for a refund. That is all we are asking for here - a refund.
Your analogy is not true in any way, shape or form. If I buy a product and then the next day the store announce a sale, then they don't have to take it back and re-imburse me if there is nothing wrong with it. Most stores will give you store credit, but that is a nicety, they don't have to do anything.
Equally the sale of digital goods aren't covered by the same laws as physical goods anyway, be it music, films or in app purchases. How do EA know what you spent it on, maybe you bought other premium items with it? What if you bought the whacking day items with doughnuts 3 days ago, are you entitled to a refund? What about 4? Wheres the cutoff?
Point of the matter is, at the point you paid for the items, you should have been willing to pay that much. You still have the item, you haven't lost anything.- It would be nice if they either reimbursed the donuts or gave something else to those who bought the items believing they wouldn't have time to finish the event, only to discover the event had been extended. I am not one of these people, mind you, I just don't like seeing people feel cheated.
- The truth of the matter is that EA knows we will complain, but none of us will delete the game and move on. They can do just about anything they want and we will still play and pay. This is how the game will be from now on, so get used to it.
