I am still doing the Cecil and red box tasks for the music notes, because I love donuts, but am done sending anyone to get any more crafting material. I need to start getting my cash saved up again for when the next level update hits.

My town is still so new I was chasing Krabappel at the beginning of Act II. Never had enough cash for even one $150,000 donut chance, still managed a healthy 440 though :)

Still sending characters to earn corn, fertilizer, etc. mostly based on my timing (which is more relaxed now). Kind of on automatic pilot.

I'm sending them to tasks just for the donut bonus. I have 188 donuts which I plan to spend on the Lovejoy house. I want to start recuperating them before I buy it.

Also I am not in too much of a hurry since the task bar is already cluttered.

It's true! I spent it all on walls and cane fields. I'm so mad they cut the cost of those in half after I'd already burned through all my fertilizer!

You might actually have ended up better in the end. I lost my double coupon after awhile, wife did not. I saw a post that suggested the 2 for 1 coupon might have been affected by excessively high crafting materials which reflected our experience.

Gave up on the Cecil tasks two days ago. Got everything crafted, and I seem to have blown through $4m on second (and third) chances. So now I need to build up my reserves again.
