How long before you became a premium player

I was tempted early on but I didn't actually buy any donuts until about a year into playing. But there were a lot of crashing issues in the beginning so I didn't want to spend money until I knew the game was completely stable. So it was easy to resist when I could only get into the game every so often anyway.

Yea I'm trying to avoid buying a boatload until the log in issues are solved

Less than 3 days...

I joined during a Gil sale period. It was the lab and Frink, something else and $$ for so many donuts. I didn't know about the online community so I figured the offer was for all new players and bought it just before time run out. At the time whatever the money amount was it was huge and got me 3-4 tiles. Actually made me feel like I was progressing with the game for the first time.

Don't regret it at all (well except for the Funzo I accidently bought before the confirm donut spend option was added to the game... Rot in H E Double Hockey Sticks Funzo).

Yes! Everyone should check out the "have you been victimized by the wrong town" thread. I myself logged into the wrong town a few days ago and logged right out again, but if you have a big stockpile of donuts you are taking a real chance that someone could run amok in your town.

3 months before I bought the boat. I waited for the Gil sale before pulling the trigger. Before that a couple golden scratchers here and there.

about 10 months; Halloween was my downfall

Two months and I had my first golden scratch off. That was the beginning.
