Is taking advantage of in game glitches cheating?

I voted no. You are still playing the game that has been presented to you. You are clicking the buttons that everyone else has available to click. Just because doing so in a certain order produces results the designers may not have intended, that doesn't mean the user is doing anything wrong. You're still just playing the game. If a game developer really feels a glitch has a hugely negative impact they will patch it, roll back accounts, or even shut the game down until they can fix it. There is always a chance you may lose anything gained by using a glitch, but it's pretty slim.

Doing anything to the game without using the resources given to you by said game is cheating. Running a second background program, downloading an apk hack, or even buying game resources from a third party source are all obviously cheating to me.

That being said, something like setting your phones clock up or something doesn't count. While it is using an outside influence, if people are still releasing games that are this easy to "cheat", its their own fault.

Oh, how I hated that. Playing by myself it was fine, but racing against others online? If you didn't take the short cut, then you had no way to keep from being dead last every single time. And of course everyone always picked that course, so you got stuck doing it over and over again.

But that was a competitive game, whereas this isn't. That's partly why I don't think of stackables as cheating. It doesn't really affect me if someone else participates in the stackables (other than my friends, that is).

Plus, as has been said, I'm not entirely sure it's a glitch and not more of an Easter egg.

I do think this game can be seen as a competitive game. There are always those that want to be first one to get the update, first one to complete it, etc. It's also competitive how well your town is designed, which is why there were competitions on the 'best' designed area. Finally, it's also competitive on the rarity of the items owned. There are people that want to keep exclusives gone forever, while new players get jealous of those that have them.

Heck it can be competitive for how fast you went from level 1 to level 38. Some players can do it within a month, others can take a year.

Yeah the MK7 was unfortunate, but glad it was patched.

Depends on the glitch. But I pay my way on the game fair and square so it seems unfair to think that it can be exploited by people smarter than me.

The tile glitch is not an Easter egg, I don't know why people keep saying that. It is not available to everyone, any Easter egg would be. I don't care about the xp gain, I would like a few more tiles though. If they keep releasing boats it won't matter that much anyway.

If you already built your last tile before the glitch you were never able to get any extra tiles or xp. If you didn't pay attention after the glitch, you could accidentally tap your last tile and be done as well. The last update seemingly arbitrarily collected some people's rents, tasks and tiles, and now those people are done as well. A true Easter egg is a reward to everyone.

Sometimes my brown houses look like a building from squidport, or one of the little stores, or what looks like the shards of a shattered object elsewhere in town. This is a weird thing that happens sometimes, and I can't predict or control it. It's a glitch in my graphics. See what I'm saying?
