PREMIUM TO FREEMIUM

exactly
so they wouldnt make events if the previous events didnt make them a tonne more cash

I honestly don't know how to answer you.
I guess let's start with this:
1. The only people who weren't complaining for the most part were newer players who haven't really seen what other events offered and how prizes were given for work that was out into the game by players.
2. Almost all my friends (real people) but 1 person all quit playing this game and half of them were premium players after this event started.
3. I don't know if you've seen the forum during previous events but the only time the forum was this outraged was during the Christmas event, and why you may ask... Because people were frustrated that their work only paid out in chance.
4. This event caused by far the worst uprising in veteran players. Again something that has never happened before.
5. When you play an event, and I mean really spend a lot of time on it you should win more then a flying bunny, like I did. Better yet you can say well you have bad luck and I'd say you may be right. But here's something for you to think about. Why the hell would I play this event the way it is intended to when ultimately only money can help you win. If this is the case (which it is) then this event is nothing but a front to rob players of their REAL hard earned money.
So with all that said how is this event not a disaster. Some reasoning skills go a long way, and defending EA won't make them favor you.
Remember if no one complains and old players who people are calling complainers leave, this game will only get worse with these money grubbing fronts EA are making. But hey at that point it won't be our problem.

Well said! Like I've said before, there are so many complaint threads about this easter event that if Josh came back and made one no one would even notice because it would just blend in with all the rest!

I don't mean to go off on a rant here, but the fundamental flaw with these posts is that EA is giving out exactly what everyone wants - more free items, characters, and buildings, yet that doesn't seem good enough for some players. The operative word in the last sentence was "free" for anyone not with me thus far. There are roughly triple the number of prizes compared to previous events, and there is a chance - A CHANCE - to get them all for free. Despite this people are still bad mouthing EA about how "unfair" this event is and how they "expect" to get the prizes, and we're only halfway through the event.
You want to play a free game with no in-app purchases or prizes you might not win but feel you are so rightfully entitled to? Try solitaire. Or go throw rocks at a can in your driveway. Or play the quiet game.
I'm perfectly happy with the prizes I've gotten for FREE by playing and enjoying this GAME. I know many others are as well.
Of course that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

Picked this point from your post because that's the reason everyone thinks this event is a * take by EA. They ain't free if people are having to spend real cash on donuts to try and get somewhere in this crappy easter event kid, in fact, they become super premium IF your lucky to win the gold box prizes. 100 donuts to get some eggs, 11 boxes of each colour and NO guarantee that you will get enough gold eggs to open the gold boxes, or even get the premium rated prizes in the pink or blue boxes, all you are guaranteed because of EA's crappy odds in a really poor and majorly complained about event based around the chance element, are stupid ponds, awful fences, a silly gate, a pile of eggs - all which don't even give a multiplier and we can't sell afterwards.
But in real terms, i give you the real reason for this event, for EA to make real money by way of gambling without succumbing to worldwide in game gambling laws. Clever aren't they?
EA have dropped the ball with this one, pissed off VERY loyal players who are both freemium and premium, all to make themselves richer while the game that was once actually brilliant, fails on all levels with severe security problems, constant errors and more.
We don't demand, we ask, we may complain, but those complaints are justified no matter how much others like to kiss EA's butts and call them nice things and say "oh hey, this is a lovely event, all is good, lah-te-dah-te-dah", but we have all got to a point where enough is enough, and it's time EA started to listen to people, whether it hurts some poor sods feelings about his or hers 'amazing new easter event' - they need to start listening to us, the loyal players, because in the end, without us, the game will not survive as people spend their money elsewhere
Rant #105 over (for now)

if you work you wouldn't want your boss to give you some cheap lottery ticket and say "well here I know worked 50 hours this week, but you might win a million dollars." Or you might win $5. You get what I'm saying?
I'm good at what i do, but damn AJ, that quote there has to be the best way of describing this game for sure. Nice one
Talk about your The Simpsons: Tapped Out experience with other TSTO players.
