I started this post and i'm glad to see not everyone is as greedy as the rest.....i do agree that the donut buyers are what keep the game going if a new player wanted a building that someone got the first day playing then why not allow that person to buy that item i hope EA comes back out with old stuff just to * the "high class" players off...sorry but like i have read thousands of times on this page it is afterall just a game
Going to say, you sound greedy yourself to just for wanting things older players got, not by wanting, but by just playing the game. Hopefully though, you'll never have the chance to obtain promo/tie in/limited timed items, etc. You don't always get what you want and i hope EA does this to * you off.SirEdgarA wrote:

Wow, just wow... You seem like a generally great guy, SirEdgarA... It seems you'd be the type of person that sees poor people, and think to yourself, I hope they never escape their poverty, so that I can feel better about myself...FluidEmotion wrote:
You see, EA makes content to earn money, and the more they earn, the more content updates we'll get.
This is specious reasoning. If they can make money off of re-releasing previously created content, why would they bother spending money on creating new content?dcg_moo wrote:
So, because I don't own an ipad, I should never have the right to own them? Because last Halloween TSTO wasn't available on Android.
If a video game is only available for one system, and you have a different system, you do not have a "right" to that game, and if they later release a port for your system and it has different features, you do not have a "right" to the features from the other system. So the answer to your question is "yes". You do not have an inherent right to content for which you did not meet the prerequisites.thatguamguy wrote:

I hope you aren't serious? If they stop making new content, all people will eventually lose interest in the game. You see this is kind of an interactive citybuilding and charactercollecting game. That does not mean there isn't ALOT of money to be made on re-releasing previous content. I am sure EA know that, or if they didn't know that, I'm sure they learnt that this Halloween.thatguamguy wrote:

Usually when someone port a game for a different system, and they don't offer all of the previous expansions, they try to please their new customer group by giving them exclusive content... I can't see EA has given Android users anything exclusive, therefore I suggest they port the previous content to us, and it seems they do :) (Though I believe it's simpler to make something available for both iOS and Android, than to pc, xbox and ps.
By the way, I'd love to see the response for long-time iOS-players, if EA gave us Android users exclusive content, you weren't entitled to, because you had a different system, even though you have been playing from day one!- With anything, have some effing patience. Instead of whining just wait and see what EA decides to do. Newer players may one day get most older items, but then again maybe not. It's not the end of the world. You'll survive...somehow.

You're getting confused. Your initial point was that if they make money off of re-releasing old content, that will lead to them spending the profit on creating "more" content updates. My point is, if they start making more money without creating more content, there is less, not more, motivation to create "more" content updates. I am not saying they will completely stop creating content, but that they would have no reason to accelerate when they can just sit back and generate profit off of previously created items.jasonicus321 wrote:

Ah, but this isn't whining because we don't have it, it's a heated discussion, because some of you guys don't want it to be re-released to feel better than us "new players". Somehow your lives gets that much better for owning a pixel, not everyone can have at the moment.FluidEmotion wrote:

I can't speak for everybody, but my response would be the same, "Oh well, too bad I don't have the system that has that content, but I certainly don't have some inherent right to it if I don't meet the prerequisites of having it installed on one of those systems on the correct day."
