- Oh please. I've been playing since just about day 1 (I even remember when they took Tapped Out off of ITunes for a while).
It does not hurt me one bit if the re-release old content. I do love this game, have spent I don't know how many hours on it, probably too much money, but at the end of the day its just pixels on a screen. My pixels don't become worse just because someone else has the same pixels. My cool brown house is still neat even if every other player has it.
I don't even think they should charge donuts for items that older players didn't have to pay donuts for, although obviously EA would make some change if they did so.
And as for being able to tell how long someone has played -- why do you care? 99.9% of players don't visit other towns except for occasions like WD or Halloween. I just need someone to get me Santa coins or snakes or goo, doesn't matter how long they've played.
If someone is that worried that people won't know how long they've played and therefore deserve rewards, use some hedges to write out your start date on a spare piece of land. wkhslax21 wrote:

absolutely not. you missed those items, end of story. I'd love the Mapple Store. I started playing after it was available. Case closed.
Thank you EA executive for enlightening us
Lmao. I would love the flower shop and ice cream store but in didn't start until April this year. I wold like them to fix the lemon tree glitch first. Since you can't have two and you can't sell the darn thing.jacobjdevore wrote:
It's perfectly reasonable for EA to bring back limited-time items in some fashion, to be acquired with donuts , and I say this primarily because this is a FTP game. There are plenty of so-called whales who have beautiful Springfields on account of their premium purchases. Certainly, that has been a factor in the vitality if the game, which is something we all support. As has been pointed out, that alone is reason enough for long-term players to support the noobs, even the Android players :) , on having the opportunity to enjoy those items.
As for "exclusivity," gimme a break. Perhaps this could be claimed if those episodes only aired once forever, but we all know the episode pertaining to the Cool Brown House will be re-run if it hasn't already. Holidays, obviously, occur annually. There goes your exclusivity.
I really don't understand the desire to hold these old items over newer players' heads. You could only see their Springfields if you're neighbors, and if they're so "beneath you," why would you be neighbors with them? It's not like anyone is "winning TSTO," aside from EA of course!
Nice to see that I am able to fully agree with you too :) And I also give my full support to RockStrongoh. Good posts!lyle_catcliffe wrote:
Episode tie-ins (Cool Brown House/ Swanky Fish/ Super Collider, etc) are incredibly unlikely to become available again. They were simply promos relevant to a single episode. Last reasonable excuse to re-include them was the proposed 'Season 24 Yard Sale' and that turned out to be just a bunch of new overpriced premium stuff based on blink-and-you'll-miss-it objects from the last season of The Simpsons.
Needless to say, if we become neighbours and I don't see the Duff Racer in your town-- I remove and block you and report your account to EA.
As someone who owns most of timed exclusives "Limited timed" etc, its not impossible to reintroduce them, lets take a more recent example, Fat Tony, he was once a tied promotional character. It didn't take long before they reintroduce him as a character available to all. Though i can agree it will be unlikely to bring stuff like Duff Racer, Black Hole, etc. Something not in high demand like a character that makes an occasional appearanceAlterBlackbird79 wrote:

To all of you selfish people who think that your owed something for playing longer, your all a bunch a whiney b*****s. You need to stop thinking that your so important, and the fact that you want to hold limited items over others is really sad.
Your reward that you feel entitled to is this,
You get to have it longer.
Your friends can be jellous they couldn't get when you did.
What you got for free might be re-released for money or donuts.
I hope they re-release everything if just to hear you cry about it, it makes me laugh. Nobody cares about you, they don't even know you, get over yourself.
As far as re-released items I'd like to be able to buy a second cool brown house among other things.
Name-calling, complaining, and generally insulting people because their opinion differs from yours. Is that how you typically respond to people with different opinions than yours?
Insecure much?
Agreed.- It's something where almost nobody is really happy. If the re-release old content, they upset some of the older players, who may have bought those items using real money under the guise that they'd be available for a limited time. If they don't re-release old content, they upset some of the newer players, who are being punished for not playing the game sooner, as well as people who may have been playing at the time, but unable to actually play the game during the limited time release due to a game bug. Of course, there are players who don't care either way, including some who would gain from a re-release.
If I were running the game, I'd release Fink's Time Travelling Box, a prize box that randomly has an old, no longer available item in it (with the ones people don't really want having a higher drop chance). Then I'd price it 250 donuts. - i'd find that stupid older players should be rewarded for their loyalty and the items aren't called limited for nothing be happy that you can buy some of the limited stuff for donuts

I don't think they're rewarding older players for not re releasing limited/promotional items, characters, buildings, etc.
You just didn't make it in time for the incentive of previous versions of the game, no ones fault but yours.RockStrongoh wrote:
I agree.....
I just bought GTAV today...the special edition for $80...does that mean I'm not entitled to experience the same game as everyone who bought it on day of release?
Here is a list of the content which you don't have access to because you didn't preorder GTA V.
http://www.ign.com/wikis/gta-5/Special_Editions_and_Pre-Order_Bonuses- Who on earth is going to be upset that I have something exclusive? Only those who dont want me to have outdated items. my solution: offer the items. All the new people who are crass enough not to appreciate your pride will be estopped from violating your happiness. We will be required, under a new rule, to identify ourselves to protect your dignity.
we are well aware of your having had the dumb luck to have the knowledge of the game's existence, and/or the dumb luck to have afforded the most expensive technology at the very time you did. You will be safe from having your dumb luck violated. Oh, and did I mention the dumb luck of having enough extra time to spend tapping to pay for the items at the precise moment in time they were offered?
We greedy newbies can put the words "greedy newbie" in our signature. We can all be careful to show some respect, and to immediately whisk you off our friends list at your request, and to profusely apologize at having caused you such agony, so you won't feel saddened by watching our towns become as beautiful and complete as yours.
And everyone can enjoy the game (remember? It's a game.) to its fullest. I, for one, would like the opportunity to make the most beautiful Springfield possible, and to share all my design with friends who will enjoy my potential. You should be proud in the BEST sense of that word --proud that your use of those special items has inspired us ... NOT pride that you can be an exclusive group restricting people from sharing all the possibilities
Just sayin'. It's a GAME. Our towns have no monetary value to anyone other than ourselves. Good grief.
