- It's not rude. It is ignorant. After they came here, looking for "friends", they never, ever came back. I visit towns daily who have 6 tiles on SP with 9 buildings on them... I tap their tile knowing the process is lost to them. Their towns are drab and they have no clue. But rude? Nah, just clueless.

I don't think its outright rude I assume most people don't know about it. If you see someone tap their three times and not hit your tile then go to their town and if they have a tile don't hit it. I just came out of my game where someone had tapped three building on my sp but not a one on the tile.
If they are tapping your SP, then that's a good sign that they're actually trying to tap a tile, but probably just don't see it available. I know I do this a lot when I look for the tile and it's not there.joeythelemur714 wrote:

I do this, too. If there is no tile, I tap a Squidport building or something right in front of Squidport to let the person know I checked. Then I look for the farm and Channel 6. If I can find them and they are not available to tap, I tap a building nearby to indicate I tried.
There are times I enter a neighborhood that has a message or arrows pointing other buildings and none of them are available for me. I had been assuming those items were in rebuild mode, but perhaps I'm not seeing them for another reason? Whatever is happening, tapping on other items in the neighborhood does not mean I am ignoring requests. It just means I wasn't able to fulfill the request at that time.- The tile is the first thing I try to tap when visiting a town. But strangely there are times when I can tap a tile on the first day, but I can't see it on the second day. I could only assume that the player has accidentally tapped their own tile and needs to go through the build process again.
The only other time when I can't tap the tile is if the town is too large to load. I've been to some where it scrolls one notch once every 10 seconds, sometimes even crashing my phone. In those cases, I just try to tap the highest value buildings. - When I visit, I chck around the landing zone for Channel 6 and the farm. Then I head to ocean to find Squidport; if there is a tile; I tap it if not I tap nearby to show I tried. If I have taps left, I see if I can find Channel 6 and the farm. If they are hidden real well; I'll try and tap something expensive.
I do keep track of neighbors where I tap and my name appears, farms that are wilted every day (really feel bad I must be their only neighbor; or a building that is still under construction after 8 days. Those or inactive indicators to me - I haven't deleted anyone YET, but if people continue to ignore my tile I will. I've been to people's towns and the first I check is there tile, and if it's tappable I tap it. These same people never come to my town and tap the tile. I've done it at least 20 times now, and yet I've had one person tap my tile a few days ago.

Most people who play this game arnt on the forum, I know, hard to Beleive isn't it?- 1) those that request to be added through the forum may never come back to the forum to see what is going on with the game so they really have no clue on the squidport, farm or news station extra taps.
2) some people may attempt to look around and they can't tap those places for whatever reason so at least they are taping out and helping someplace.
3) most of us have 100 "friends" with no way to contact them to give them the information and we work, go to school and have a life outside the game, they come and go and tap when they can and then when there are holiday quests (Halloween, Christmas, wacking day etc) they show up everyday and tap tiles all the time.
Deleting those that don't tap exactly where you want or whatever building you want isn't really something I do, it's just wrong, there are a lot of people that I have added from this board that stated right out front that they play during the big holiday events and then sporadically throughout the rest of the year, if you add them then you should take this into account.
Above all, it's a fun game, where you have people come and go in your town, no competitions, no high score game boards, a lot of great talk on the boards and friends that don't come over everyday!
No one gets a hero metal at the end of this game .......I'm bad and that's good!! mwdalton wrote:
Maybe they don't have the option to tap a tile?
That's Not the case with me. I tested it using two feeder towns. Started in Main Town. Confirmed that I already had one untouched handshake .... The handshake I never touch! Signed out of main town. Signed into Feeder "A" ... Visited Main Town. Saw floating tile and gave it a tap. Signed out of Feeder "A" and into Feeder "B". Visited Main Town. Saw floating tile and gave it a tap. Signed out of Feeder "B" and into Main Town.
Total of two handshakes. Tapped top one, and saw it was from Feeder "B" ...
Same thing happens with my Channel Six, farm and outdoor stage. Newest tap overrides the others. People visiting THINK they're getting recgnized for being Nice Neighbors.
NOTE: two days ago, I saw THREE handshakes stacked up, but that was the only time. Tested again from feeder towns and didn't show more than two. I KNOW (notifications and PMs) that friends are visiting and rush to clear, but losing opportunities when it happens overnight. :(
