Plus the chance aspect is a small part of the overall offer of 576 donuts + premium box. I actually prefer the chance aspect here to a deal with a fixed 'bonus' item that I might already own.

You're GUARANTEED to get a premium building . Comparing that to Easter is just plain stupid. Especially as this ISNT something you have to do.It isnt really gambling, it's getting a nice surprise while buying donuts.

EA definitely had the newer players and freemium players in mind with sale, hoping that they'll spend money and get a premium item along with their donuts. Absolutely nothing here for completionists or long term players unless you want a boardwalk full of ferris wheels and a street full of Lard Lads.... :(

I wouldn't say there was nothing for people who already own all the premium items offered, as the $7.99 deal is a pretty decent one - it gives a better donut per dollar rate (16.5) than the standard $19.99 offer (15). But yes, the $34.99 deal certainly seems to be geared towards attracting new premium players or existing limited premium players.

It seems to be failing in that, for the most part. What attracted me to premium play was the stonecutters, and then the reintroduction of a long-desired item in the yard sale. If they're not going to offer something I've wanted for a long time to speak to my emotions, they need to offer something that will appeal to my logic. The math on the dumpster does not work out to being a deal at all, so what makes it "appealing" is the gambling aspect, which makes it not appealing.

It's not entitlement to suggest there be fairness and indeed value for money. Yes, you're entitled to your opinion, however your repeated ranting about "entitlement posts" as you see them is getting tiresome. Give it a rest.

I happen to agree with the op - EA are persisting in pushing the chance element at us. I don't like it and won't take part in it - that my choice.

Unfortunately there are other players who will pay any amount EA tag on any item. As long as those players exist, this game will continue on its path of rampant price gouging. Shame really, but those people are around, EA know it and it makes sense for them to keep gouging as long as players keep on accepting the unlubricated rear ramming without question.
