I think the limited time items became available after building Burns Slant Drilling and Red Blazer Realty. The task for Homer to open the tunnel comes up then, too, so you could stop there. That's what I planned to do, but I accidentally sent him on it, so now I've started some of the Springfield Heights tasks and I'm just watching my donuts after everything I tap.
I did everything up to homer opening the tunnel and no limited time items in my store

I built the drill and the realty office because I wanted Cookie. I just haven't opened the tunnel. No other items have become available, so I doubt you'll be able to get BD without opening the tunnel. (I already have it.)johncolombo wrote:

I was saving for Black Friday deals, but if this is the case I might buy something so that the Tap Ball bonuts go to use rather than vanish...
I cannot imagine a roll back happening that would cause people to loose donuts, but I can't wrap my head around how they are going to do this roll back to restore donuts. Some people would get more donuts than they had if they spent donuts since update. This is unprecedented if memory serves me right and I remember another event, well partially if anyone knows which one I'm talking about, where we were losing the game currency and it was supposed to be restored. The glitch was fixed but we never got the currency.
If they roll back it would be hard to reimburse those who have as a result, lost the donuts they bought with RL money since the event started. In any case I wonder if not logging in at all helps keep my bonuts safe...- mystery2miSeasoned Newcomer

I would try to contact them via live chat. That is what I did after losing 45 donuts. The person I spoke with was very pleasant and refunded the 45 donuts immediately. I've been spending a ton of donuts on speeding up some of my characters that I wanted doing jobs in SH.
I have moved a few condos into Springfield proper though, as I was out of space in SH, so that may be why I haven't lost any donuts. I will make no attempt to move anything into SH from Springfield. mystery2mi wrote:

Very frustrating to hear some getting reimbursed and others (me) not.
Seems like a FUBAR situation to me....but then again....what do I know, I'm just a loyal paying customer.- Bit annoyed that some people are having donuts restored while others are not. Not consistent and unfair. Also not happy that my case is being shown as resolved even though it still isn't. Don't know if this is country specific? I'm in the UK and the customer service rep was not going to be persuaded to restore them. Not buying anything until they sort this out.
- I logged into my main town this afternoon and donuts had dropped from 148 to 85.
I logged onto ea chat and got very helpful response and return of missing donuts.
I was careful to be polite and the session only took about 5 minutes.

Since you are our valuable costumer so i have added the donuts without wasting any more time - I find it interesting that other UK based tappers have been unable to get donuts restored and have been fobbed off with promises of a fix.
When the last missing donut issue arose everyone lost the same amount so crediting that back was straightforward. This time each customer complaining has a different loss. I wonder if they think us UK tappers will just give up. We don't have the option of a call like in the U.S. Seems a bit unfair.
I got the case closed email last night just like I did a couple of weeks ago. I did get those donuts restored but I don't think these are coming back. Too many people have gotten refunds - they wouldn't want to give everyone double donuts. - JedihntrNew SpectatorI lost more this morning. I just had my third useless chat with an EA rep and I give up. Chatting with someone who just reads off a script and thanks me for my patience (ha) is just infuriating. I don't know how they'll know how many I lost, but if I don't get them back I won't be very pleased.
