Battlefield 6 IFV Gunner Lock-On Bug - GAME BREAKING PRIORITY!

Hey everyone,
There’s a serious issue with the IFV gunner’s laser designator that’s really breaking the air-ground balance right now.
Basically, the IFV gunner can paint (laser designate) air vehicles, which then lets the driver lock on with the anti-tank missile system. The problem is that these missiles which meant for armor and ground targets can instantly lock and deal massive damage to aircraft. In most cases, it’s a one-hit kill.

This clearly isn’t how the system should behave. The missile has too much tracking and damage against air targets, and it’s making flying almost impossible in lobbies with active IFVs. The number of players who have stopped using air vehicles because of this is huge.

It’s honestly ruining the air experience for a lot of us. Please, review and fix this interaction by either remove the ability to laser-designate air targets from the IFV gunner seat, or restrict the anti-tank missile lock-on to ground vehicles only.

Thanks for listening, and I really hope this gets addressed soon.

  • If the flares worked or there was an ECM jammer to counter this, it might be ok. But as it stands, Jets and Helicopters don't have a chance against it. If there's a Recon on the other team painting targets, might as well stay on the ground. Even then, out of vehicles. Because even the attack jet can lock on to a painted target, and it's all over for you.

Fully and 1000% seconded. its disgustingly unfair and unfun to play against.

  • There's not enough upvotes on this (probably because not a ton fly because of the learning curve). It's definitely game-breaking. I'm a really good heli pilot and refuse to fly in games where a freaking IFV is a better AA Tank and is just blasting away from spawn.
