the AI’s pace in wet conditions on the wet tyres is far too quick and it’s impossible to keep up with them. Even changing to inters and doing faster lap times the AI are still going quicker on worn wet tyres. It’s almost like they have unlimited traction

This is being reported now by many people, I think this needs to be a priority fix. Can we please have some feedback from EA to confirm it will be looked into?

Exactly, it's absolutely a priority and we expect it to be taken into consideration as soon as possible.

The fact i can't see the track getting wet + AI too slow in dry/too fast in wet makes me put this game on hold. It really breaks the career mode.
Back to F1 23 till this is fixed... - GOLDKILLER_0453 months agoNew Spectator
In a dry race, me and my brother are upper midfield to front runner, but in the rain, i get passed by a 2s pace difference on a straght while im on the dry line and theyre on the wet side of the track. Bonus, they f**k*ng bump into me while going in a straight line

On a slightly wet track, AI lap times are not affected. The career mode is unusable in this state

I have the same problem.
In wet conditions, there is no grip at all, I'm sliding everywhere. I usually play at 105 difficulty.
As soon as it starts raining, the AIs are 2 to 3 secondes faster per lap.
This is number one issue that needs to be fixed in the game for me with AI speed on straight. - HulkHans0n3 months agoRising Spectator
First season on myteam and in the starter car which is, by design, rubbish, but it is honestly unplayable on controller. 96 AI, medium TC, all other assists off except for anti lock. Japan, all grid on wets but the grip is non-existent whereas the acceleration the AI can get out of corners is comical. I turned temp simulation off for tyres.
It's a slow car, but I'm still amongst the backmarkers and can fight in dry, in wet it is Tokyo drift and a pointless task. I don't like the idea of having to lower AI when it's wet as the conditions could change throughout the race. By no means am I quick but the car is like driving on ice as many people have said.
I agree with the poster above who suggested AI is too slow in dry conditions and needs increased to match the level of challenge in wet. I'm not 110 level, but it illustrates the disparity between dry and wet performance. If I can be competitive on 96 in dry, then what is 96 in the wet? +10? It's guesswork.
I think 2 things need looking at - How the car handles in wet on controllers (I can't speak for wheel setup) and the AI disparity between dry and wet.
It needs urgent addressing.

Come on EA can we please have someone acknowledging this complaint and for it to be investigated and resolved? The amount of people now reporting this is astonishing. Can someone please tag one of the EA forum moderators in this thread with a reply? I'm not entirely sure how to do it on the new forum otherwise I would do it.

Same problem here, no traction out of the corner and auto gearbox shifts halfway through gears 6 + 7 making me a sitting duck for AI which is well below the normal difficulty that I play at.
