I was a top player in FIFAs Season Mode, but I often experienced matches being ruled as No Contest, meaning that even though I won, the match didnt count. This is incredibly frustrating. Sometimes, I get so shaken by this that I lose my next match. This issue has been around for years, and although it was patched at the end of FC24, the bug has reappeared in FC25.
Why does this bug exist again? Why does a football game invalidate a match even when I win?
The cause seems to be that when an opponent, after losing, turns off their console, there is a certain probability that the match will be nullified. Every time a match gets disconnected, I feel extremely anxious. I even tried quitting through the pause menu to avoid the bug.
On the PS4 version, I was ranked under night-eight-fifa last month. This issue should be the highest priority to fix, but since most players never achieve a 90%+ win rate, very few have actually experienced it. This bug is severely underestimated. Its truly unfair and demoralizing.On my secondary account, I played 120 matches with a 97% win rate, and four of those matches ended in No Contest (neither a win nor a loss, just erased). It may seem like a small number, but it completely kills my motivation.
My proposed solution is to change the system so that, instead of forcing players to return to the lobby, the game takes the time to load and log the match situation immediately after a disconnect. This way, the result can be processed and finalized within the match itself.
