FC 26 Rivals Is Unplayable on PC With Modern Displays

After purchasing EA SPORTS FC 26 at full price on PC, my experience in Ultimate Team Rivals has been extremely disappointing. The game becomes effectively unplayable at 120 Hz, as controller input is not recognised during Rivals matches. This issue does not occur at 60 Hz, which strongly suggests a technical problem related to refresh rate and input handling rather than user error.

High refresh rate displays are standard for modern PC gamers, and forcing players to downgrade their system settings just to access a core competitive mode is unacceptable. Rivals is a central part of Ultimate Team, and when input fails, the entire competitive experience is ruined. Offline modes may still function, but that does not compensate for a broken online mode that many players primarily purchase the game for.

After paying a significant amount for this title, PC players should not feel like second-class users. This issue negatively impacts trust in EA’s commitment to the PC community. I strongly urge EA to acknowledge and fix this problem so PC players can enjoy a fair, stable, and modern gaming experience.
