Player AI thinks this is beginner squad battles

I had the misfortune of playing a Division Rivals match where my defensive AI seemed to think it was playing on "Beginner" difficulty in Squad Battles. I completed twice as many passes as my opponent and constantly pinned them back into their own penalty area. Despite this, I lost the match 1–13. I have never lost a game where I was so clearly dominant—and certainly never by a 12-goal margin. The problem with the match was how my players behaved when out of possession. Unlike in previous games, my defensive midfielders and center-backs displayed positioning that would be typical of the "Beginner" AI in Squad Battles. The opponent could simply run straight through the middle, while my defensive midfielders drifted out to the flanks, effectively making space for the opposition. The center-backs failed to mark anyone or close down gaps; they just stood there idly.
