Player quitting round 1 in draft causes loss

After 50k coins i finally get a good draft team with zidane, henry, and desailly. I started my round 1 game and the other guys team was terrible with multiple commons on their team. He paused as soon as the game started and quit the game, but I got a Lost connection message and that the results will be determined. The game buffers for like 6 minutes (my internet connection is fine, I watch streamers as I play), then tells me the result was unable to be determined and that I will be returned to UT Home. Once it does that I see the "Rewards Available" message on Online Draft. I am not redeeming these rewards until EA support does something, because how can I lose without playing a single minute with this team.
