[MEGATHREAD] Failed to Connect Error 852146987

Please help, I just started receiving this message about 3 days ago and I was playing the game non stop. Beat the entire game, now I cannot play. How do I fix this. 

What is the issue, I had been playing fine for about 20 hours straight. Then I get this error message. How do I fix it. I’ve hard reset the Xbox. This is quite annoying. If I keep clicking will put me in a queue for about 5 seconds then it pops the same message up. 

I'm on PC and played the playtest for over a month until August 29th, now I'm getting error 852146987.
I've tried everything, reinstalling the game, reinstalling the EA app, but nothing.
Has anyone solved the problem and been able to play again? Contacting support is impossible.

I grouped your reports here. If you still see a connection error 852146987 today, please check if you have an active VPN service and turn it off.

Using a VPN service seems to have caused this error for other players.

If you don't use any VPN services, please follow the steps in this guide to troubleshoot connection issues by changing the DNS to Google's, changing the Wi-Fi channel, or using an Ethernet cable. 

Let us know if you can connect to the game again afterward or if the error persists. 

I've never used a VPN, and none of the troubleshooting steps work. all other EA games work.
I repeat, I played until the morning of August 29th. I don't think it's my problem

Is it possible that they removed me from the playtest whitelist?

The error still persists even when changing the DNS IPV4 settings. I’ve used both. The only thing I haven’t done is use a hard wire. I cannot use the hardwire where I’m at unfortunately. The problem is the game was running just fine wirelessly. Even after the update. I beat the game after the update. It was only just less than a week ago this error code came up and I couldn’t join. So I have no clue what happened. Please help. Thanks for the response. I am on an Xbox series X.

Hello, according to EA support we have to wait for the release of skate on September 16th.

I just bought an Ethernet chord. I am getting 700+ mbs download speed.  It still pops the error code up and I cannot play… I was playing just fine without the Ethernet chord. Only until after about 3 days after the update it started bugging out on me… Can you guys please fix this? Xbox series X. 

it’s because you broke NDA, you’ll be able to play skate when it comes out 16th by re installing it.
