The preset getaways in Adventure Awaits work (like the kids outdoor camp) but when I make a custom venue and then have my sim create a getaway, it takes ages to load and then it hasn’t worked and my sim is still on their home lot, or the whole game crashes.
I’ve tried this many times now, and it hasn’t worked once. This was the part of the game I was most excited for, so I’m disappointed that this fairly key part of the game doesn’t work or crashes the whole game.
Could you please provide the following information
- Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do.
- What platform are you playing on (PC, Mac, Playstation, XBox)
Hiya, I’ve updated it. I did previously have mods, but I took them out of the mods folder before I installed Adventure Awaits.

Try the following
- Close the game
- Rename Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 to Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4_Old
- Repair the game
- Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry.
- Start a new save game
- Check if you still have the error
- Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

your library stuff is in the tray folder. Just copy that one over too.
If you also have screenshots, videos or custom music, don't for get that as well.

Im having the same issue but my game doesn't crash it just takes forever to load and when it does load the getaway ends before it starts.
