One thing I noticed about this whole bug is...
If you create a Sim’s role without assigning their activity in the schedule, the preset or schedule just won’t save for some reason. However, if you do assign the Sim’s role in the schedule and then confirm it, it saves properly.
That’s what’s happening in my game, both in existing and new saves — and, just to be clear, no Mods or CC involved.
