[AA] Gibbi Point Festivals Not Showing Up

The new Adventure Awaits festivals do not show up in my game. They’re not in the calendar. When they are supposed to happen no notification has popped up, and when my sim traveled to where these festivals are supposed to take place they didn’t show up either. I tried to delete the cache then repair the game. That did restore the Glow & Flow Festival but the others are still missing. I saw a Lilsimsie video where the bug also occurred, but she said she didn’t encounter it in new saves while my new save is still plagued by this bug. I play on Mac with all DLCs and mods have been disabled since the Sept 18 update.

  • The gibby point festivals do not show up on my saves that started before the pack came out, only in new ones… I tried doing the clean method by removing the sims 4 file, repairing and putting back only the saves to find the problem and it just didn’t work… I’m completely lost, I have saves like my legacy and collections saves that I really wanted to experience the quests, new collection and festivals with and that is a huge block. Can anyone help? Or will I just have to wait for the next update..

    HI 4z82mg8p1rv6

how long did you play ? You might need to play for about a week or to see if they get scheduled after.

  • So was having an issue with specifically the Glow and Flow (the other 2 festivals went on as normal). The lunar cycle was normal cycling yet no festival for the year. I repaired, did a "clean folder", still it was not scheduled on the new moon night. I changed the lunar cycle to new moon only, and it scheduled the festival on every night. shouldn't have to do that but hopefully it gets me the butterfly and the quest finished.

  • I just looked into my Sims' calendar and Glow and Flow does not show there on a new moon in my pre-AA save, but it does show in a fresh one.

I'm not sure about the other festivals. Are they on the calendar at all? At least I didn't get any notifications about festivals so far and have never seen one yet 😐

crinrict Sorry for the late reply. Got distracted by the new Lego Death Star set 😅 anyway I was a bit scare to do the clean folder method cuz my 9-year-old save was too humongous to be copied to a usb drive or an online storage and I don’t have an external hard drive for Mac, so I decided to just delete the cache and repair again. Nothing changed at first. The calendar’s still devoid of AA festivals and no notifications popped up for them. Then I traveled to Sulani for the turtle hatching event (which also never works for me but that’s another issue for another day) and afterwards went to the Jellyfish Junction for the quests. Suddenly boom! The Fitness festival appeared out of nowhere and the other festivals were back on the calendar (except they only showed up for that week. I’m not sure if that’s still an issue for me or it’s just how AA festivals work for everyone). Honestly I have no idea what’s going on anymore…

Back to the question, no, when I encountered the issue I created a new save just to check and those festivals were not there either. But I haven’t played that save yet after my main save’s been miraculously cured so idk if the problem was still within that new save.

I have them in the calendar and i get a notification when they are happening but when i travel there, nothing is there, no festivals no sims, nothing.

I did the usual Troubleshooting - Clean User Folder Approach. Still not working.
