[AA] [HCHSP] Sims ignore stand mixer on Getaway

Issue Description:
When "Have Breakfast," "Have Lunch," or "Have Dinner" are assigned as activities on a Getaway, NPC Sims will not use the stand mixer to prepare meals. The in-game tooltip for these activities indicates that Sims will use the stand mixer and other small appliances to complete these tasks, but in practice, they ignore the stand mixer entirely. Sims may still complete the eating activities using other methods, but the intended small appliance behavior does not function.

Expected Behavior:
According to the Getaway system's tooltip, when "Have Breakfast," "Have Lunch," or "Have Dinner" activities are active, NPC Sims should autonomously use small appliances including the stand mixer to prepare meals. The stand mixer should be recognized as a valid object for fulfilling these meal activities, providing variety in how Sims complete their assigned tasks.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Plan a Getaway using the Getaway Planner.
  2. Add "Have Breakfast," "Have Lunch," or "Have Dinner" as an activity in the schedule.
  3. Place a stand mixer on the Getaway lot.
  4. Start the Getaway and observe NPC Sim behavior during meal times.
  5. Note whether any Sims approach or use the stand mixer.

Actual Result:

  • NPC Sims do not use the stand mixer to prepare meals.
  • The stand mixer remains untouched throughout the Getaway.
  • Sims may complete meal activities using other means, but the small appliance functionality described in the tooltip does not work.
  • The tooltip explicitly mentions small appliances like the stand mixer, creating a mismatch between documentation and actual behavior.

Affected Activities:

ActivityStand Mixer Usage
Have Breakfast❌ Not used
Have Lunch❌ Not used
Have Dinner❌ Not used

Additional Notes:

  • This appears to be an autonomy failure where NPC Sims are not correctly recognizing the stand mixer as a valid object for completing meal activities during Getaways.

Impact:
Low to Moderate. While meal activities can still be completed through other means, the bug undermines the Getaway system's promised functionality and creates a mismatch between documentation and actual gameplay. Players who specifically set up their Getaway lots with stand mixers expecting them to be used will be disappointed when they observe Sims ignoring them entirely.

  • Are you referring to the mixer that came with Home Chef Hustle?

I don't  know why they include it. It doesn't make anything a Sim might eat autonomously. It just make's ingredients.

Yes. The tooltip says the Sims are supposed to use it. I was thinking for a cooking competition, they would use it to mix dough for pizza.

My feeling about all the things included in Getaways (and to lesser extent Clubs and SB) is that no thought was given to whether the object/activity would actually work autonomously in the those circumstances.

I get it that testing every object or activity and the combination there off would be close to impossible, but one would think that there'd be a database of some sort to refer to. At the very least a basic "autonomous" vs "not autonomous."

I think the Stand Mixer is best being: not autonomous. I wouldn't want endless prepped veggie. Why it was included with things a Sim might use on a Getaway is a mystery to me.

However I have no insight into how games work under the hood.

It seems like most testing is left to folks like you. So, thank you, canelacaliente
