Could you please provide the following information
- Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do.

No mods or cc. It was a new safefile that I had already played in with imaginary friends the other day without any issues then today I noticed that bug. Repairing my game didn't work either.

Can confirm that this happens even in vanilla saves that were never modded. I believe that the issue lies in having the "Auto Age Unplayed Households" setting enabled, and playing rotationally. Imaginary friends seem to be treated as an unplayed household, so if you rotate away from the household that has a child with an IF, the IF can age up while you are not playing that household. It's possible that this can also occur even while you ARE loaded onto that household due to the IFs being treated as a unplayed household, but I haven't tested this condition yet myself.
This causes a lot of bugginess, since when you do go back to that family the IF is suddenly a teen (even if your child hasn't aged at all) and doesn't behave as an IF correctly. This is definitely an issue for people who play rotationally, especially with shorter lifespans.
I have a bug fix mod (in testing) up on my patreon that should stop IFs from aging while you're not playing their household.
