Issue Description:
The Adventure Awaits expansion pack includes elimination competition rules for various skill categories (Cooking, Creativity, Popularity, Child Skills, etc.), but mental skills are completely missing from the available competition types. This means there are no competition options for:
- Logic skill (chess competitions)
- Rocket Science skill (astronaut training camps)
- Programming skill (code jams / hackathons)
- Video Gaming skill (eSports competitions)
These competition types are unavailable for adult Sims specifically, despite other skill categories being represented.
Expected Behavior:
The competition system should include a Mental Skills Elimination rule (or similar) that covers Logic, Rocket Science, Programming, and Video Gaming. This would allow players to create getaways such as:
- Chess tournaments
- Rocket science/astronaut training camps
- Coding competitions/hackathons
- eSports/gaming tournaments
Steps to Reproduce:
- Install Adventure Awaits expansion pack.
- Open the Getaway Planner (via phone: Travel > Plan a Getaway).
- Navigate to the Rules section when creating or editing a getaway.
- Review the available Elimination Rule options.
- Look for any option related to mental skills, logic, chess, rocket science, programming, or video gaming.
Actual Result:
The available Elimination Rules include:
- Cooking Elimination
- Creative Skills Elimination
- Popularity Elimination
- Romantic Elimination
- Survival of the Fittest (Fitness)
- Player Choice Elimination
Mental skill competitions are absent. There is no option for Logic, Rocket Science, Programming, or Video Gaming competitions.
Additional Notes:
- A "Cooking Competition" default getaway is included with the pack .
- The Creative Skills Elimination covers activities like comedy and performing arts .
- Child Sims have access to their own competition types, but adult mental skills are overlooked.
- The pack introduces new fitness equipment (spin bikes, free weights) and a Survival of the Fittest elimination for fitness skills, demonstrating that physical skills were prioritized over mental skills .
- This is a notable omission given that the Astronaut career (base game) heavily features Logic and Rocket Science skills as daily tasks and promotion requirements .
Impact:
Players cannot create themed getaways centered around intellectual competitions. University-themed getaways, eSports tournaments, chess clubs, and astronaut training camps are impossible to implement using the competition system. This significantly reduces the pack's replayability for players who prefer mental/logical gameplay over physical or creative activities.
