[AA] NPC Sims ignore Woohoo/Kiss activities on Getaways
Issue Description:
When a Getaway has Woohoo or Kiss set as an activity (either as the main activity or a role activity), NPC Sims completely ignore these interactions. They act as though no activity is set at all, and will not autonomously initiate romantic physical interactions with other Sims. This occurs regardless of:
- The Sims' relationship status (tested with both single Sims and married couples)
- The presence of Woohoo-capable objects on the lot (beds, hot tubs, tents, Woohoo bushes)
- Whether the "Love Is In The Air" rule is active or not
Expected Behavior:
When Woohoo or Kiss activities are assigned to a Getaway schedule or role, NPC Sims should autonomously engage in those interactions with appropriate partners (spouses, partners, or Sims they have sufficient romantic relationship with), similar to how they autonomously perform other assigned activities like Eating, Sleeping, or Exercising.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Plan a Getaway using the Getaway Planner.
- Set Woohoo and/or Kiss as an activity in the schedule or assign them to a role.
- Optionally, enable the "Love Is In The Air" rule (which is supposed to make romantic relationships easier to build) .
- Place multiple Woohoo-capable objects on the lot (bed, hot tub, tent, Woohoo bush).
- Ensure the Getaway includes both single Sims or married couples.
- Start the Getaway and observe NPC behavior.
Actual Result:
- NPC Sims do not autonomously Woohoo or Kiss.
- They behave as if no romantic physical activities are assigned.
- Other assigned activities (eating, sleeping, exercising, etc.) work normally.
- The issue persists across multiple Getaway attempts, with different relationship configurations, and with/without the Love Is In The Air rule.
Affected Activities:
| Activity | Works? |
|---|---|
| Woohoo | ❌ No |
| Kiss | ❌ No |
| Eat/Sleep/Exercise | ✅ Yes (normal behavior) |
Additional Notes:
- The Adventure Awaits Getaway system allows for "Romantic Competition" (Love Highland) as a premade Getaway type . This premade Getaway may also be affected.
- The Love Is In The Air rule is described as making it "easier to build romantic relationships" with slower decay , but this does not appear to trigger autonomous Woohoo/Kiss behavior.
- The Romantic Competition elimination mode eliminates Sims based on "lowest romantic progress" , but this does not appear to be triggering the actual romantic activities needed to build that progress.
- This may be related to a broader issue where Custom Getaways fail to function correctly in certain saves, as reported by other players .
Impact:
Moderate to High. This bug significantly undermines the Romantic Competition Getaway type, as Sims cannot build romantic progress without manual player intervention. Players cannot rely on the Getaway system to create autonomous romantic scenarios for their NPC guests, defeating the purpose of the feature. The bug forces players to micromanage every romantic interaction, which is especially frustrating for multi-day Getaways where the player may want to focus on other Sims.
