Small bug I’m hoping can be fixed in a future update. The new candle lantern that can be made at level 2 of the new pottery skill can’t be glazed. The sim lights it immediately after creating it, the description says you can put it out but there’s no option to put it out, and while it’s lit the glaze interaction remains unavailable.

Yes. Annoying. I keep thinking it has to do with "auto lights." but haven't checked.
You can put the lit lantern or candle holder in your Sim's inventory and choose glaze from there. If that doesn't work you can slide it from your Sim's inventory onto the kiln side table and then choose glaze.
Adding: I'm playing in a vanilla test games. No mods. No CC.
Is this with or without mods/cc ? What platform are you playing on ?

I thought I’d included the ea app, pc and steam tags, but maybe i forgot this time. Yes I do play with mods, but I just removed them and deleted the thumb file and I’m having the same issue. The commenter above says they are able to glaze the product from the sims inventory, but it’s still greyed out for me. I was however able to put the candle in my inventory, manually drag it to the glazing table and glaze it from there.
You just put EA app and steam. Usually only one is the main one. Like which did you start it through: If you start through steam, you use steam, if you start through ea app, it's ea app.
Since EA app can also be Mac, it's good to include PC or Mac as well. Same with tags for mods/cc. Always include them when making a report.
I see. I thought I’d included the pc tag, maybe I missed it. I launch through the ea app but I’m pretty sure the game is running through steam, so I thought I should include both. I’ve removed the steam tag for clarity.
