I am also having this issue. Same thing where my small business wasn't showing as belonging to my sim and then when I did use a kiosk to open my business it wouldn't close. Now I cant enter my lot and am getting this exact error code.

Ah that makes sense. Yes I do have For Rent. The household had been tenants in a residential rental before I moved them to the new lot (where the error happened), if that makes any difference.

Also - I was adding new employees during the time when it glitched and stayed 'open' because the previous two employees had died/disappeared while I was playing with a different family. One of the previous employees had been a ghost - just in case there's any links to what laurenlola22 said below.

I'm having a similar issue. I clicked "close (small) business" before 2 sims went to Larry's Lagoon/University. The business didn't close, so I sent them there anyway thinking the business would close itself. It didn't, apparently. When trying to return them to their home (the small business is zoned on the residential lot), I get an "error 123"/failure to load message and am taken to the select a world screen. I tried switching to another household to open their business... Says she owns the business, yet the "open business" panel says she doesn't own a business. Also uploaded home with small business to my library, had it built on another lot and moved the family there. I'm given the "error 123" message on the new lot when trying to access it. Very frustrating. It's a legacy family with kids, grandkids all over town, so I hope this gets fixed.

Hi! I’ve the same issue and can't close one of the small businesses. One of my Sims owns a business, and everything worked fine at first. I play without mods, and there were no issues running it. However, at some point, I accidentally left the business lot while the store was still open. That’s when the problems started. When I tried to return to the business, the game wouldn’t let me. Instead of loading the lot, I received an error message (Error Code: 123:b378c837:938c06ee). The error suggested restarting the game, which I did, but it didn’t fix anything. I also tried closing the business, but that option didn’t work either—the business remained open with no way to shut it down. I attempted multiple fixes: repair the game, moving the family to a new lot, removing and replacing the business lot, even trying to sell the business, but nothing changed. The lot where the business was originally located now seems permanently bugged. Any time I try to send a Sim there, I get the same error message, and the game won’t load the location. Since this bug occurred, I also noticed that no other families in my game can see their businesses anymore. The only way to make them reappear is by switching to Build Mode and then back to Live Mode. However, this isn’t just a visual issue—it also affects employees. Employees of small businesses no longer show up for work, and in some cases, I can’t even see who is hired anymore, even though the game still recognizes someone as working there. I even played as one of the employees, and while the game shows them working at a small business - while playing as the small business owner I can't see it and they don't show up. I’d really appreciate any help in resolving this issue! Let me know if you need any additional details.

I'm back. I made a new sim with a new game, different lot, world, etc. Haven't opened them a small business. They got the Skillful Sleep reward so I had them use it. When they woke up, my sim left the lot via a party invite before the Skillful Sleep projection went away. When returning to home lot, I got that Error 123 message again. Just thought I'd add this.
