In that post you didn't mention travelling. Is that a new factor or do you mean that it works with putting stuff in the fridge on the retail lot but after you travel to and from, every new food doesnt' get a timer ?

  hi crin, sorry just saw this now.
  going back and testing it, it seems it was the putting things in the fridge that was triggering it, not the traveling.
