Also having this issue on Mac. The owner will use the DJ booth, but the employee with it set as their sole employee task will not.

They dance for me but completely ignore the dance floor and gather around the booth.

This doesn’t work for me either, even when I set it as an employee and a business task, the employee just sits there. I can hire a headliner DJ and that works in terms of having someone use the dj booth. But then no one dances.

There's also the issues of employees running out of the lot once you open the business. Perhaps they were tired idk but they need to add an option to demand them back or punish them for missed work.

Looking at the Tuning for this-
The rule that directs this allows the Sim to use the "DJBooth_PlayInteractions" affordance list.
These interactions have a test in them for autonomous behavior...that only allows butlers, or DJ Npcs, or even your special sleeping skill building ghost from the new mastery perks.
But it does not allow Business Employees on any of them. If an employee does it autonomously it's mere coincidence, or they've by sheer luck chosen one of the few interactions that anyone can just wander up and do if they have the right skills.
I removed the entire test_autonomous section from several interactions- including the DJBooth_Play base interaction- and now my staff use the DJ booth autonomously. The ideal fix would include whitelists for business employees in the relevant DJ Booth interactions.
granted I can't figure out why club members can do this just fine by business employees can't (club interactions and business interactions are the same tuning files, unless one is brand new to B&H and/or they made a special autonomous version of an interaction that didn't exist before).
Unfortunately for any "Business Activity Doesn't Work" bug, it would appear the answer is "They didn't actually properly test it and just kind of assumed it'd work, and it needs more to function at all". It's a pattern I'm noticing. Real shame, because like I said they added new interactions for things that absolutely would not work without them, so they had to have known not everything was gonna drag and drop from Get Together + Get Together Cross-Pack tuning.

Thanks.

The skill level make the sim-employee able to play music with dj booth, so the sim-employee without experience can just make practice, until level 2, but I did not see any other differences related to skill level.

- Start a Business
- Place a DJ Booth
- Hire an employee
- Tell them to DJ
- They don't DJ
Might as well make a "[BH] Various employee activities were clearly not tested" post at this point.
