Build Mode is gone

My whole build buy menu is gone. I can't build anything. I can't see any items, click on anything, the tool bar with the hammer and stuff is all gone. If I go into build mode and then go back to live mode I can't click on my sims anymore, nor see their profiles. The whole game is broken. I tried to repair it, that didn't work, so I uninstalled it and downloaded the whole game again and it still doesn't work.
