Whenever my sim calls another sim on the phone I constantly get "bad reception due to off grid" moodlet. Neither lot is off grid and it seems to happen no matter what lot the call is from. This happens with every sim and has been happening since the new update.

This is happening to me too, across multiple saves. I only have Basegame worlds, none of the lots are off-the-grid. Playing on PC accessing Sims 4 via Steam.
Fresh install and this is happening to me as well. I don't think they care about us anymore guys.
I have the same issue. All my sims have the Angry moodlet because of the bad reception using a phone off grid. Thing is, none of the houses have been or are off grid. I don't play with mods and never have. It's so annoying and interrupts my gameplay so badly I usually just log out! I have all packs except Werewolves, Love Struck and Enchanted By Nature.
I have been getting the moodlet for calling whilst off the Grid, I assumed it was related to the random moodlet bug.
Been getting this moodlet and the other off the grid phone call moodlet from my Newcrest lot that doesn't have a single lot challenge added.

Issue: Moodlets relating to off-the-grid lot trait will occur for Sims not living in/not being on an Off-the-Grid lot.
Example: My Sim made a video call to a friend while at her home lot (not off-grid) and got a moodlet about bad phone reception from off-the-grid trait.
Steps to reproduce: Seems to happen mostly with the phone. Make a phone call/video call with another Sim. The inappropriate off-the-grid trait moodlet will appear after.
Expected outcome: No unrelated moodletsTwice in two days, different sims have gotten the Bad Reception moodlet due to being off the grid while most decidedly, on the grid.
I merged your post with the existing thread for your example. If you have any other off the grid moodlets, please create one thread per moodlet you have issues with.

I do not have the Off-the-Grid lot challenge on my lot, yet almost every time that my sim uses the cellphone (whether it be to schedule a date, text someone, or even if she gets a call from someone), she gets a moodlet relating to being off-the-grid and the phone call dropping. The moodlet varies in emotions - I've seen it as happy and as angry before. This moodlet has even appeared while my Sim was using her phone in Ciudad Enamorada in a public area.
