Cannot pay bills, power shut off

Could you please provide the following information

• Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do.
• are your bills a positive amount like this thread: Household receives positive bill they can't pay (wrong Math) | EA Forums - 4943342 

I am not using mods. I tried adding a mod with an 'Autopay Bills' function to fix this problem, but it did not work. My bills are a positive amount, but similarly to that thread they do not make sense. It's a very large farm house I downloaded from the gallery, so the bills should be much more expensive than they are. My sims nor the lot have any traits that would make bills cheaper (Frugal/Geothermal).

Thank you for your time and your response, I appreciate it. I could go back to an old save.. but I am really happy with how things are going in my current save and would really rather not.

Okay, thank you. I noticed that the thread you referred me to was created 11 months ago but it doesn't seem like there are any updates.. Is that typical? I'm sure you understand that I'd rather have this fixed soon, especially before diving into the new EP! Thanks again for your time, I appreciate it.
