Cannot pay my bills

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.109.185.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Use the "Pay Bills" option, either via the phone or the mailbox.
What happens when the bug occurs? The progress bar (circle) disappears and the option remains.
What do you expect to see? The bills are paid. The progress bar moves to 100% and the option disappears.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure 

 

Ever since the last patch, I can't pay my bills. The game throws an exception every time (see attached). My households' power is now shut off as a result.

    Seems the Exception didn't attach. Can you try uploading as rar file or copy/pasting the content ?

    Did you recently move with your Sim ?

    Is your Sim living on a residential rental lot ? If so, tenant or owner ?

    Residential and owner.

    On a possibly relevant note, one of the mods I had removed was the Live in Business mod, so although my lot is residential, it does have some retail items.

    I initially thought that mod was the culprit, but even after removing all mods and CC, the problem still exists.

    Additionally, I have tried with several Sims in the household, all to no avail. The household owns multiple rentals.

    For testing purposes, on a backup of your save game, could you test if selling the rentals helps with anything ?

    Selling the rentals didn't work.

    EDIT: Tried it on a different househols and it worked (that household has never had rentals though).

    Do all the business properly show up in the business tab ?

    There's a bug report for that over AHQ and I wonder if they are connected.

    You mean the rentals? Those do.

    (I tried to report this on AHQ but it wouldn't post).
