when dragging item from inventory it will not appear in the world, nor will it be removed from the inventory. It cannot be merged with other items either (eg fruit to planter). Same for all items (that can be placed via sim inventory)

Could you please provide the following information
- Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do.
- What platform are you playing on (PC, Mac, Playstation, XBox)
- Is that any item or specific ones ? Like items you got gifted ? Plants ?
I am having the same issue. My chicken coop was moved to my inventory, but every time I try to place it it goes back to the inventory (even though the place I am doing it is green). It happens even when I am purchasing items from buy mode.
Only mod I am using is MCC. I am playing on PC.
