Can't Drag & Place Items from Sim Inventory

I have the same problem and i dont have mods.

this is just starting to become a problem for me too. it was never this bad because ive always made and sold my own nectar, often moving bottles into the cases from my inventory. just noticing this now during the Legacy in-game event moving the antique keys into their display case

I play on console, Xbox series X specifically. I’ve been playing for a few generations and I decided to get a keepsake box for the family. I wanted to collect the photos that were in the inventories of my sim, his parents, and his siblings. I couldn’t get anything out of my sims parents or siblings inventory at all when I temporarily added them to my sims household, I used the X button to tap and drag and it didn’t work. I assumed that happened as a quick glitch because my sims siblings and parents originally live in a different household but that wasn’t the case. I couldn’t grab anything out of my sims son’s inventory either despite being able to do so before. This glitch is so annoying especially after just getting back the ability to have regular photos without them turning black.

I just had a similar issue. Suddenly my sim couldnt move any item from the inventory anywhere. At first the item got stuck to the cursor. I left the lot to the world and went into the household again. The item wasnt stuck to the cursor anymore but still no item could be moved.

But I did manage to use the "place in world" interaction. Didnt help with the moving but at least this way the item wasnt in the inventory anymore.

I switched to another sim to check if the problem isnt limited to one sim. Its not. With the second sim I was able to move the item freely where I wanted. I switched back to the first sim and the issue was gone.

Stacked holistic cures in the inventory cannot be sent by mail, removed, placed in the world, or purged using inventory.purge. Just started experiencing this issue today. I tried to select each item individually without success. Was able to place in the world once, told Sim to mail, the item is not affected. No Mods/CC, cache cleared, game repaired.
