Normally I'd drag my sims' meals into the fridge for them after the whole family gets a serving but today when I loaded into my legacy save I was unable to drag things into the fridge at all. I can still drag into the trash and sink but the refrigerator is off limits. It honestly feels like opening a culver menu prices, seeing all the items listed, but not being able to actually order anything you know the food is there, but the interaction just won’t work. I also couldn't drag things out of the refrigerator when I opened it, which is frustrating because I keep my harvestables in there and usually give a couple to my toddler in case they get dangerously hungry. Also possible related, I'm having insanely bad lag whenever I click on anything to interact, try to change sims, or even pause the game.
I’m actually having the exact same issue on PlayStation, so you’re definitely not alone. I can drag food out of the fridge just fine, but trying to drag leftovers back in just doesn’t work at all. I’ve tested it with different households and different fridges too, and nothing seems to make a difference. It’s strange because like you said, it briefly worked after the last bug fix and then suddenly stopped again. I’ve also restarted the game multiple times over the past few days and the problem is still there. It really feels like something broke again on the console version. I’m hoping it’s just another bug that needs patching, but it would be good to know if the devs are aware of it. If anyone has found a workaround in the meantime, I’d love to hear it because it’s pretty frustrating.
