After I place one item the next item I select won't place, it flips back to where it was previously, or is carries around by my mouse indefinitely. I found by clicking a different tool across the top...

im not gonna disable something i paid for. paying for dlcs just to end up not using them is not supposed to be like that. ea needs to fix it. we paid for this.
I agree, unfortunately it's either that or don't ever play the game again. That was my choice. And I choosed to want to continue to play my Sims 4 even though I had to disable my For Rent to do it. I so regret ever getting that darn broken pack. That being said, you are very brave trying to handle a broke pack. You probable have a fancy Supercomputer to handle all that. I only have a basic PC for my Sims 4.
my game runs okay without mods, with mods its all slower and interactions take longer, simulation lag etc, and i get these kind of bugs too, bugs aren't tied to the pc specs, you can have a nasa pc and still get safe corruption cuz it has nothing to do with the hardware it runs on
i made a vanilla save and modded save with all buildings/modded things and backed it up so in case i get corruption, i can go back to the non-corrupted version
