Can't resume painting

i have the same problem. my teenage sim, not an occult, doesn't resume paintings — the action just cancels right away, so i have to scrap the painting and start over. i blamed it on my mods at first, but the issue persists even if i remove all of them, although i haven't tested it in an unmodded save file. another family in the same save also has this bug.

i cannot find a pattern why it happens — it might happen to painting of any size or style, sometimes it doesn't happen and my sim successfully finishes a painting. using a digital sketchpad is also affected by it, not sure about woodworking yet, i'm going to test it out. 

i'm pretty sure it's a recent problem for me, either after sept or oct patch, i definitely didn't have this problem before

Are you still having issues with this ? Could you provide the info I've asked in an earlier post ?

Is this with a fairy or regular occult ?

Does it matter on what lot type you do it ?

I also have this issue, it seems to have started with the last update or maybe the one before that. 

Could you install today's patch and check if you still have issues ?

If it's just a specific, is that one an occult ?
