Can't set vacation rental lodging as event venue

Is this just an issue with CaD or also with old-style dates ? have you been able to do this before with only the old-styled ones ?

I have been trying to schedule a weenie roast but the only lot option available to me is the forest i.e public lot. Have done all the checks, removed all mods, and repaired, the bug still appears in the game. 

I could have parties in vacation rental lots a year or so go without issue, so this is a 'recentish' problem.

Have only base game and outdoor retreat installed.

I am also having this problem.  I sent my Sims on vacation to two different vacation rentals on two different save files, two different lots, two different neighborhoods, and two different seasons and I was unable to selection the vacation rental as the location for any events.  These two screenshots I tried a pool party and a dinner party.  Very annoying bug.  I play on PC with a clean, mod free session.

Adding to this - Yes the ability to host parties at vacation lots has disappeared. Sims have always been able to host parties and events at vacation lots since vacation lots were rolled out to base game. I'm not sure when this change was rolled out but it is extremely counterintuitive. What's the point of even having a vacation home (both in Sims and real life)? Please fix.

Just adding to this that you can't have any parties but weenie roast in Granite Falls, if you try to schedule a wedding, birthday etc. you are given no lots at all to choose from. It allows you to go through the set up screen, set a date, but there is no lots listed and no lot pictures to select ... 'interestingly' even though the one thing you can select on that page is the start time, the mouse-over on the greyed-out tick button says that you 'a start time must be selected ..."
