Career daily task not updating and not getting a promotion even with golden tick

Mods have been deleted and disabled.
Tried the steps of deleting whole Sims 4 folder and just re-adding saves.
Happens on multiple different career paths, not a specific one.
Sim is promoted to level 8, but then the daily task stopped updating (it is stuck on not started even though my sim keeps completing the task (e.g. This time round, he has to earn certification which he does and completes, but the status still reads as not started).
He also has a golden tick as his performance is excellent and this has stayed stuck, but he isn't being promoted. It has happened before, too.
Additionally, if one of my Sims is at work and her husband travels somewhere, she automatically leaves work and doesn't earn her money (she is an interior designer) and gets negative feedback obviously.
If they both have work at the same time, only one can go to work, The other will not follow the go to work command until the other is off lot and at work, making one of them late.
