Ever since this most recent update on 9/18, every time I try to adopt a pet my sim acts like there is something blocking them and are unable to do so. If I want to adopt the pet I have to use the shift click cheat and add to household.

Could you please provide the following information
crinrict carlyannne I'm having the same problem too, the adopt button doesn't show up at all on animals that should have them. I don't use mods and this seems to be a new problem.
sylviasketches are you playing on an off-the-grid lot ? Have you tested multiple households ?
