My households cannot do karaoke together at venues. When I say households I mean two people from the same household, regardless of relationship. I have tested with multiple households and here are my findings. I used at least three different households to test.
So two people living in the same house cannot go to Planet Honeypop or any other karaoke venue and sing duets together. I tested different venues because of old information I found on a previous problem having to do with festivals. As far as I can determine, my current problem has nothing to do with that as I have tested on festival days and non-festival days.
Spouse and his wife - partner does not show up as available for duet. Took two brothers who live together and whichever tries to do a duet the other does not show as available. Took another sim and his wife from another household and same issue.
Yet, I can take any one of them and click travel and select a friend or family member that does not live with them and go to the same venues and they can do karaoke duets just fine.
I put in a karaoke machine into their house and they are able to sing a duet together at home. BUT, I took them to their friend's house who has a karaoke machine and they cannot sing a duet there together either.
So the problem seems to be due to being in the same household. I loaded up older games, not saves, older games, and tested with sims who have nothing to do with my current game and the problem exists across the board.
The only mods I use are Mccc, littlemssam mods through Curseforge and one venue mod by Zerbu on Curseforge. I did run a game repair. So the only thing I have not done is remove mods to see if the issue still exists. Not sure why it would as I don't use anything crazy and I will go out of my mind without mods to stop autonomous flirting and my butler from making infinite piles of clean clothes. I don't use any mods to get items for the game or aspirations or stuff like that. any houses or sims I download come from the gallery. The only mod I think could possibly be affecting this in some way is the mod by Zerbu because it allowed me to change a special venue type and turn it into a residential rental so I could put in the Sulani Super Yacht. I just don't know what would happen if I remove that mod and then load the game. So I decided to come here and post first and see if anyone has any ideas. I had zero issues with this prior to the most recent game update and yes, I updated all available mod updates as well as Mccc.
I really need this problem resolved because the current game I am playing all of my sims are into music, art and karaoke together. So this problem just kills the whole game :(
I appreciate any ideas and I will remove all mods and test if I have to. Just hoping not to have to go through that mess. Thanks!
Oh, and I play on a PC. Own and running all packs and such. No game issues or slowness or anything.
