It is so frustrating that the beampole snaps to corners and you can't rotate the, especially the Eco-Lifestyle columns. Poles that are symmetrical or semi-symmetrical, you can get away with.
Please add this to your laundry list as a fix, as it's losing its aspect of free build. Sims Build and Buy has come so far; please just do minor fixes like rotatable columns.
