I just downloaded the recent update earlier in the day 4/29/25, which I presumed automatically turned off mods though I do play with a few script mods like UI cheats, MCCC, BBB and a UI color mod.

I think I might be having the same problem. Sims 4 is crashing when it tries to load.
I uninstalled the Sims 4. I uninstalled the EA app. I manually deleted leftover files from the AppData folder...
Then I reinstalled it all. Same problem. It's a Steam installation.I can't send you save files because it crashes on load. I can't play to save anything.
I used the Reliability Monitor, and I found the error.
It looks like a driver issue with one of the recent updates. (My install has worked fine for a very long time)

I don't think this particular issue is a driver issue as only particular saves are affected and the crash can be duplicated on another machine. You probably have a different issue

Game crashed before mainmenu on my new desktop computer, but launched successfully on my old laptop. I notice that a "lastCrash.txt" file was create after each crash. Do you need it for further information?
