I was having the exact same issue. I also experienced it with hot tubs (the only option available was Skinny Dip).
I tried the 50/50 method and eventually managed to add all my mods back without the problem returning. It worked fine for about 4 hours of gameplay, but then the issue came back.
Then i tried running the game without Lovestruck, since someone suggested that might be the cause, and that actually worked! I’ve been playing for three days now without the problem reoccurring.
