Discovery Quests: Certain quests have blank text

I'm having this problem too. - PC user

I am trying to run a small business. I've been having a lot of issue so I decided to use the cheat stats.set_stat rankedstatistic_smallbusiness_rank 8500 to increase my business level and see if at a higher level if things work better. Or do I just hate this pack's gameplay? Trashly arrived at my door immediately after the cheat was enabled and offered to teach me how to expand my business. I thought that sounds great!

Then I got this quest popup that tells me nothing.

All of the limited time events do this in my game too. Every. Single. One. I always have to delete the accountdatadb to get the events to actually start and if I don't finish them in one sitting risk having to do this again.

So what do I do here exactly? I can't delete the quest because isn't it part of the tutorial on how to play this pack? And I can't get the quest back if I delete it because Trashly just randomly arrived at my door.

So what am I supposed to do? This has happened to me before with Discovery Quests which is why I keep them turned off. I guess this is part of the pack though so it doesn't disable when you turn these quests off? I started seeing these blank quests well before they began doing the Events & is now a problem not just for the limited beginners tutorials or timed events but also necessary gameplay. They really need to work this system out better.

I don’t have that pack so I wonder if it’s just apart of the updates that have occurred in the last few months.

I have the same problem on my PC. I have tried to fix it with Repair, Closed and re-opened my ea app with no luck. Still have the same problem. No cc or mods. 

I am experiencing the same issue.
I temporarily moved the entire Sims 4 folder to a different location and started a new game.
After gradually restoring my data, it seems that the problem lies within the save data.
The mods and other small files were not the cause.
Unfortunately, I have not been able to resolve the issue yet.

Unfortunately, I'm experiencing this problem on my pc as well. My save will start out fine then the discovery quest boxes go blank. I've noticed that it seems to happen after I use manage worlds to build on a lot. I've also had random things disappear, like the planters at the spice festival. The plants themselves are there but no planter boxes. Or once I went to visit an apartment lot and there were no walls. You could see the sims inside the apartment but there were no walls or doors. No matter what though the quest boxes always go blank first. I've removed all of my mods, repaired my game, I even went as far as to reinstall the game but it's still happening.
