[DU][DO] Sims leave restaurant table to do university homework elsewhere
ssue Description:
When a Sim is dining at a restaurant and also has pending university homework , the Sim will get up from their table during the meal to go do their homework. They may attempt to do homework at another table, at the bar, or even outside the restaurant. The homework action interrupts the dining experience and prevents the Sim from completing their meal.
Expected Behavior:
A Sim who is currently eating at a restaurant should prioritize finishing their meal before starting other activities like homework. If the Sim has pending homework, they should either complete it before going to the restaurant or wait until after the meal is finished. The "Eat Meal" interaction should not be interrupted by autonomous homework actions.
Steps to Reproduce
- Enroll a Sim in university and ensure they have pending homework.
- Take the Sim to a restaurant lot.
- Have the Sim order and begin eating a meal.
- Observe the Sim's behavior during the meal.
Actual Result:
- The Sim stops eating mid-meal.
- They get up from their table and walk to another location on the lot.
- They take out their university homework and begin working on it.
- The meal is left unfinished on the table.
- The restaurant dining experience is disrupted.
Additional Notes:
- This appears to be an autonomy priority issue where university homework is weighted more heavily than finishing a meal at a restaurant.
- University homework is known to be a time-consuming and demanding task in Discover University, which may cause the game's autonomy system to over-prioritize it .
Impact:
Moderate. The bug disrupts the intended restaurant experience and breaks immersion. Players cannot reliably take their university Sims out to eat without micromanaging them to ensure they finish their meal. The Sim may also waste food and money by leaving meals unfinished. This bug represents a cross-pack compatibility issue between Discover University and Dine Out.
