[EBN] Ailments too frequent

I got the Enchanted by Nature pack yesterday, and have played 5 in game days, with my household of 3 sims, at least 1 sim gets an ailment everyday. I keep them happy. I went into pack settings and disabled the imbalance, all it did was instead of having 2 of my 3 sims with ailments each day, I now have 1 sim with the ailment each day.

There are also a ton of townies with ailments. Saw a post on facebook where people were also reporting that the ailments frequency was far too high.

  • I am on PC
  • No Mods
  • Have reloaded into the game several times and it does not help.

Edit By Crinrict: Added pack tag to title.

Update: TheSimsDirect has addressed this issue on X as well:

I am also still having issues with ailments being way too frequent!  I have the most recent update (the one that focused on the pregnancy bug) but it persists. I disabled balance and imbalance, disabled luck, and even limited fairies to innisgreen.  One sim (in my household of 8) ended up with 2 ailments in 24 sim hours (gnome lure and greeny meanie)!  It is a legacy save and when i moved her out as the heir she continues to have very frequent ailments (more than 1 per sim week).  I do not play with mods or CC, have all EPs, GPs, and SPs and several kits.

This has easily become one of the most annoying things in the game.. it’s not even fun to play when sims are uncomfortable CONSTANTLY. Even if I just treated the ailment, my sim gets another one same day! Absolutely infuriating. Pleaseeee make it to where we can turn this sh*t off lol

The frequency of aliments is still too much.  My Sims are sick every day now and while it's less than at release with the recent patch, really a toggle needs to be implemented in game options. This was a head scratching omission.  Additional tuning is required.

  • The main problem with ailments is that they are contagious. If you play one sim and cure every ailments immediately (once a day or every second day) you are fine. As soon as it's spreading through contamination it's out of control. I also don't want every sim from now on to constantly have to do apothecary to keep on top of ailments. A separate on/off toggle is needed.

Ailments now are less contagious between household Sims and much less contagious from public toilets. This results in Ailments triggering up to 75% less often depending on your household size and other factors.

    Fixed in Patch 1.116.240/2.17
